Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

I can see Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a precursor to detective novel. In the story, Mr. Utterson serves as a detective after he heard the strange story from Mr. Enfield. He finds the story suspicious that a person called Mr. Hyde paid a check of Dr. Jekyll’s and he started the whole detective story from here. He was afraid that his old friend Dr Jekyll’s inheritance is going to be taken by this Juggernaut. Therefore, he decided to dig up the truth about Mr. Hyde. He stood on the street and waited for Mr. Hyde to show up. He talked to Mr. Poole to know as much information he could about Mr. Hyde. He tried to collect evidence to avoid tragedy happen.
